Software Engineer

Esri Singapore

Building GIS automation, data pipelines and developer tooling on the ArcGIS platform for Singapore government agencies.

• Main developer on a government client's batch job programme, splitting a large monolithic job into smaller independent ones for reliability and performance.
• Set up the repository, CI/CD and shared libraries for a new batch job team, cutting onboarding from 16 hours to 4.
• Ran a three-day course on Python scripting for ArcGIS, and presented our shared Python library to the wider department.

Associate Software Engineer

Esri Singapore

Developed and deployed ArcGIS Pro batch jobs for a national utility's GIS, through to project commissioning, and built the internal tools around them.

• Main developer on eight production batch jobs, cutting run times from 4 hours to 10 minutes and from 1 hour to 10 minutes on the heaviest jobs.
• Product owner of a modular internal Python SDK for GIS automation and REST APIs, saving an estimated 3–5 man-days per project.
• Built a bulk editor for ArcGIS Pro project files, cutting configuration from 5 minutes to about 30 seconds per file.

Software Engineer

Full-stack software engineer with a focus on backend services.

• Designed and developed three solar lifecycle management products using React, FastAPI, SQLite, Streamlit and Firebase/Firestore.
• Worked closely with product owners and customers to deliver and deploy revenue-generating products.
• Deployed to AWS and GCP through GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Built visualisations with Three.js, MapBox and Chart.js.
